A VPN is not a magic shield.

You can evaluate VPN usefulness with a few concrete checks:

If your goal is simply to make local Wi‑Fi observation harder, a VPN can be a practical tool. If your goal is total anonymity or “zero risk,” that expectation doesn’t match how VPNs work in reality.
