Differences and limits: dynamic IP vs. full protection
A Dynamic IP is not the same as anonymity. It primarily affects one class of signal (network address stability), while other data sources may still connect you to activity. Also, different services may combine multiple signals, so correlation may still be possible even if the IP changes.
Another limitation is that “dynamic” behavior depends on how your connection is managed by your network environment. Even without naming any provider-specific mechanism, the general point is: if an IP rarely changes in practice, the correlation-limiting effect can be smaller.
What you can check in your own setup
You can validate whether a Dynamic IP is actually changing by doing controlled checks: reconnect your internet (in a way consistent with your normal workflow) and compare the IP observed by a few independent “what is my IP” sites. If the IP stays the same across typical reconnections, then the benefit for IP-based correlation may be limited.
To improve identity protection beyond IP changes, also focus on account hygiene (avoid unnecessary public logins), reduce persistent tracking by limiting cross-site cookies, and be mindful of when you’re logged in. Together, these steps address more than one signal source, which is what typically makes the biggest difference.
