You can validate your VPN’s impact with non-technical and technical observations:

  • Verify network origin changes. With the VPN on and off, check whether the visible IP (as reported by basic IP-check websites) changes.
  • Confirm routing/encryption behavior. If your VPN client exposes connection status and security features, ensure they are active before you browse.
