You can verify what a dynamic IP is doing in your own environment with simple, non-invasive checks.
- Check your public IP, then reconnect: Note the public IP shown by a reliable IP-echo site (or a similar check) and then restart your network connection or force a reconnect. Check again afterward.
- Compare across sessions: Close the browser, wait, or begin a new browsing session and see whether the public IP changes.
- Observe what remains stable: If you use the same account or the same browser profile, other identifiers may still allow correlation even when the IP changes.
- Check in incognito/private mode: This can help you distinguish IP effects from cookie-based effects. If the experience changes mainly due to cookies being absent, that tells you the IP change was not the core factor.
The key is to test your own outcome: whether you notice IP changes, and whether any tracking differences you expect actually occur.
