What “complete anonymity” really means online

- Reduce account linkage: Use profiles and browser sessions that minimize shared logins during sensitive activities (for example, separate browser profiles).
- Watch for tracking cookies: Clear or isolate cookies and use privacy-focused browser settings when appropriate, while recognizing this won’t stop identity linking if you’re signed in.
Uncertainty to keep in mind: tests mostly tell you about what is happening on your device right now, not about what every third party or every logging practice could do in all cases.
